I have to be honest with you all and admit that I don’t have much of a sweet tooth. I prefer salty snacks over chocolate any day, but a bag of chips isn’t very fitting for easter! That being said, a few Lush bath bombs, body wash and some lip scrub are all things that I will enjoy far more than a chocolate easter egg!

March in Calgary comes with some very interesting weather. One day it will be warm and sunny, and the next day it’s cold and snowing again. Because of this, choosing an outfit can be somewhat difficult. This look turned out to be great for the weather we had this past weekend. This coat from Bare Anthology is perfect for this time of year! It’s just the right weight for an in-between winter and spring day. I also don’t own very many coats that are this long, so it is the perfect addition to my wardrobe!

I have a cardigan obsession and it’s no secret. With winter lasting as long as it does here in Calgary, you can either hate it or embrace it. I like to do the later, because I have no plans of moving away any time soon. To not hate winter with a fiery passion, you really need to dress for it. For me that means means filling my closet with cozy cardigans. They are a great addition to my wardrobe, and give me some variety as I wait for springs arrival.
Speaking of spring, All the stores are starting to stock new spring arrivals, and it’s definitely making me antsy for some warmer weather. Suzy Shier is no exception to this. Right now they’ve got a ton of new items that will help ease the transition from winter to spring.
From now until March 18/2017 in any Alberta Suzy Shier store. Show that you follow @suzyshierofficial on Instagram, to your cashier and get 20% off your entire purchase including sale merchandise! (Can’t be combined with other offers. One time use only)

I’m sure this comes as no surprise to anyone, but winter weather really takes a toll on your skin! These three products from Lush, have been a staple in my skin care routine lately. They are really helping my skin survive the rest of winter!
Skin’s Shangri La: I love how hydrating this moisturizer is. I’ve been using it at night for the last few weeks and so far I love it. My skin is always nice and soft when I wake up in the morning, so it must be doing something right!
Celestial: I love that this moisturizer is a bit on the lighter side. I wear Bare Minerals powder foundation, and I find that if my moisturizer underneath is too heavy it makes my foundation look cakey. Nobody wants that, and this is the perfect amount of moisture for my day time use!
Dark Angels: This scrub is really awesome. I’ve never used a scrub that involved moroccan lava clay before and i’m glad I finally have! My skin feels awesome and extra clean after using this. It’s also not to harsh which is great, because I have pretty sensitive skin.

A few weeks ago I took a trip out to Edmonton to visit my sister and some friends. I was really surprised by the lack of snow. This time of year there is usually a lot more. Either way, I can’t really complain about warm weather, I still got to see the ice castle. I’ve been wanting to see it since last year, so I was really excited! I’ve posted some photos of that on Instagram, if you haven’t seen them already you should go back and check them out!
This look has pretty much turned into my everyday style. If you couldn’t already tell, i’m obsessed with this shearling coat. I’m finding that it fits into my wardrobe better than I could have imagined when I first bought it. As for the rest of the look, it consists of all of my current favourite items. From ankle boots, to this henley top it, has it all! To accessorize, I added the newest addition to my watch collection by Daniel Wellington. From now until April 15 you can use the discount code THEFOXANDFERN15 for 15% off at danielwellington.com!

The cold weather doesn’t have to prevent you from wearing items that you might think are only meant for the summer. I like to wear dresses and yes the occasional romper during winter months. It’s as easy as adding a pair of tights or leggings to keep your legs warm. That being said, I don’t do this when it’s really really cold. Here in Calgary we occasionally get these warm winds that come from the Rocky Mountains called chinooks. They make it feel like spring is here, and when this happens, I try and take full advantage of it.
Needless to say Calgary has been having very moderate temperatures lately, so I decided to style this velvet romper by Lush. This is very outside of the norm for me, from the colour to the style. I like to try something different every now and then!

When it comes to footwear and accessories, i’m always drawn to items that are brown. There have been multiple occasions when i’ve had to force myself to buy a purse or ankle boot in black instead. I need a little variety in my wardrobe. Needless to say, brown accessories are my favourite! I’m pretty obsessed with this little purse by Duval. It’s the perfect size for going out, it’s not to big, and not too small. I also love the gorgeous camel colour!
For this look, I kept it really cozy and casual in one of my favourite oversized cardigans. I added a simple grey t shirt, and some distressed blue jeans to complete the look. I actually just purchased this tee at Winners for $6 and I couldn’t be happier with it! It’s really soft, and has a bit of a vintage look that I love.
