Secret Garden Kimono

I recently took a trip out to the mountains with my friend Jaclynn to take some photos and explore a little. We took these photos at Wedge pond, a cute spot out in the Kananaskis area. I try to get out to the mountains as much as possible, especially in the summer months!

For this outfit, I chose some new and old favourites. I have a bit of an obsession with kimono’s as you may have noticed, and this one is by Free People. I really love the colour and pattern. I paired it with my favourite pair of Mother jeans, and black booties by Steve Madden. To accessorize, I added two of my favourite Shesso necklaces, and my all time favourite hat.

Ride The Roof

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending Ride the Roof, a spin class fundraiser for two awesome organizations, TreeEra and Love for Lewiston. The event took place on top of the Marriot Hotel in downtown Calgary. They managed to fit 100 bikes up there which was no small feat! The weather was awesome, and the music was blasting, there was just so much energy and excitement on that roof! Knowing that it was all for two good causes made it that much better. I haven’t been to a spin class since I was kid, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Needless to say, I had a great time and got a great work out! I might even have to look into taking some more spin classes in the future!

TreeEra is an organization that is committed to combating climate change. They help individuals and businesses reduce their carbon footprint by community funding the planting of trees.

Love for Lewiston is a family run organization who’s committed to raising funds and awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

The event was sponsored by Lululemon, who provided these awesome Love for Lewiston tanks for everyone to wear! They were also very kind to outfit me in a pair of leggings, and a top to wear to the event!

Twist & Shout

Last week my sister came down from Edmonton to visit for a few days. Whenever she’s in town, it gives me a great excuse to go to all of my favourite spots for coffee, and food. One of those being Rosso Coffee Roasters in Tuxedo. They have great coffee, and this particular location is exceptionally cute inside. It’s just an all around great place to hang out, and snap a few photos. If you are in the Calgary area I recommend checking it out!

This look consists of some of my usual favourites. These distressed Justblack jeans, and this brown hat, are staples in my wardrobe. I also added this yellow tank by free people. I recently found it at Purr, an awesome local boutique. To accessorize I added the latest addition to my watch collection, this white bondi watch by Daniel Wellington. It’s the perfect summer accessory. From now until July 30/17 use the discount code: THEFOXANDFERN for 15% off at danielwellington.com

Starry Eyed

I’ve been on the hunt for new dresses to add to my wardrobe lately. It hasn’t been very easy, but I think that’s because i’m really picky. I don’t think that it’s a bad thing though. I’m trying to make the best possible choices when it comes to clothing purchases. I’m only buying items I really love, and that I know I’ll get a lot of use out of. Sometimes I get suckered in by good deals and I buy things that I really don’t need. I’m trying to crack down on that. That being said, this dress is one purchase that I am really happy with! To start, it’s one of my favourite colours. I also love the lace and crochet detailing along the front. The rest of the look consists of one of my favourite hats, and this gorgeous necklace by Coutukitsch.

Say You Love Me

It’s been really hot in Calgary lately and i’m not quite used to it yet. I’m not sure that I ever really do get used to it, but I shouldn’t complain. It’s better than freezing cold weather! Because of this, i’ve been wearing a lot of dresses and shorts lately. This particular dress is one of the latest additions to my wardrobe. Needless to say, i’m absolutely obsessed with it! I love the pattern, I love the fit and I kind of want to wear it everyday. Because the print on this dress is so bold, I kept my accessories really minimal. I added one of my new Shesso necklaces, and one of my favourite hats to finish off the look!

Blue Letter

I’ve really been enjoying the warm weather we’ve been having in Calgary lately. It’s so nice to be outside and not have to worry about bring a coat. On the other hand it’s a good idea to have an umbrella handy, the warm weather tends to bring rain along with it.

This look is one of my current favourites for spring. This top is romantic and feminine, and we all know how much I love crochet detailing! I paired it with blue jeans, but those can easily be traded for shorts if the weather calls for it. To accessorize, I added one of my favourite hats and a simple necklace by Shesso

Without Borders Kaftan

I have a little bit of an obsession with anything and everything crochet. Kaftans, blankets, you name it! I think it has something to do with the distinctly 70’s vibe that it gives off. I just love it! This Free People kaftan is my current favourite. It’s light, and breezy and perfect for mild spring, and summer weather. I kept the rest of this look relatively simple with one of my favourite Shesso necklaces, and a hat!
