Getting In Tune

I’ve recently added a few new items to my wardrobe that are quickly becoming staples. One of those in particular is this faux sherpa jacket, it’s already a favourite of mine! I’m a big fan of sherpa jackets, and I own a few different variations. Most of my jackets are bomber length, so it was nice to find something a little longer! Another new addition to my wardrobe are these boots by Thursday Boot Co. I love the style, and colour, and they pair really well with a lot of my outfits! As for the rest of this look, it contains a few old favourites of mine, including these jeans by Mother denim, and this Indiana Jones hat!

It’s no secret that I love hats! They add so much character to an outfit, that it’s hard to find an accessory that compares. I’ve been wanting this type of hat for a while now, so I finally decided to get one. Brixton is easily one of my favourite hat companies. I like that they make their hats in different sizes, so it’s easy to find one that fits perfectly! I find that when it comes to hats, one size fits all styles rarely works for me. As for the rest of the look, i’ve paired a few of my old and new favourites. This Jimmi Hendrix shirt is a great addition to my band tee collection, and these Just Black jeans are an old favourite.

I always try to dress appropriately for the weather, and that can be a bit of a struggle in the winter. I don’t like to be confined to only wearing sweaters and waterproof boots. Luckily the weather in Calgary fluctuates quite drastically during the winter months. I suppose it’s not so lucky for people suffering from migraines, but it’s nice to get a break from the extreme cold once in a while. I like to wear dresses all year round and this dress by Free People is practically made to be worn in the winter! It’s basically a long sweater in the shape of a dress. It’s really warm and cozy, and I love it’s retro vibes! To accessorize this look I added one of my favourite Shesso necklaces, and a hat.

Winter Chill

The weather in Calgary has been all over the place lately, and that can make it difficult to decide what to wear. Somedays it’s ridiculously cold, and you need to bundle up, and then the next day it’s unseasonably warm. I’m not complaining by any means, but i’ve definitely had days when i’ve over dressed because of it.

This look consists of some new and old favourites of mine. This sweater from H&M, is one of the latest additions to my wardrobe. Cozy oversized sweaters are one of my favourite thing to wear when it’s cold out. The rest of the look is pretty basic winter wear. These boots are tall and waterproof, so they are perfect for the snow, and even better when the snow turns to slush!

Happy New Year everyone! I don’t know about you guys, but i’m really excited for what this year has in store! Now i’m not really big on resolutions, but I can say that I want to be more adventurous this year. While I don’t have anything planned just yet, I do know that I want to go on a few trips this year.

As for this outfit, I’ve been looking for a shaggy coat like this for a quite a while now. I found this one at Zara and i’m really happy with it. Because of the colder temperatures that we get here in Alberta, I like to have a nice variety of jackets and coats to choose from. That way I don’t get bored with any of them. For the rest of the look, I kept it relatively simple with a pair of jeans and a tank top. To accessorize, I added two of my favourite new pieces of jewelry. This ring and necklace by Moon Raven Designs are beautiful, and are the perfect addition to all of my looks! I love anything that’s inspired by nature, so these are the perfect fit!

Silent Alarm

With all the excitement and stress of the holidays I find myself needing a break from it all. My favourite way to relax is to get out of the city for a little bit. I’m so glad that my friend Jaclynn loves the mountains as much as I do, because it’s really nice to have someone to go on adventures with. Whether we are cross country skiing, hiking or just taking photos, it’s always a good time!

Jack Daniels

I’ve been on the hunt for a faux fur coat for a while now, so I was really excited when I found this one at H&M!  While this coat is a little more glam than my usual style, I still wanted to keep this look casual. I added a Jack Daniels tee and pair of Levis. To accessorize I added a pair of my favourite ankle boots, and a ring by Moon Raven Designs!
