Take A Hike

Last weekend my friend Jaclynn and I went for a hike up Mt Baldy in Kananaskis. Hiking this time of year is nice because the temperature is still reasonably cool. There was still a fair amount of snow on the trail, but nothing we couldn’t handle. This hike is a pretty steady uphill climb, and the view at the top is definitely worth it!

I’m not much of a gym person, but I do recognize that I need some type of physical activity in my weekly routine. Hiking is a great way for me to get exercise and have fun at the same time! There is nothing more invigorating than trekking up a mountain while enjoying some breathtaking scenery! I feel very grateful to live in a city that is so close to the mountains.

For this hike, Jaclynn and I had the pleasure of testing out the Merrell Siren Sport Q2 mid hiking boots. These boots have a few awesome features including: the M Select DRY impermeable membrane, that seals out water and lets moisture escape. They also have Q FORM 2 dual-density midsole with heel-centering technology that provides gender-engineered alignment and comfort. I found these boots to be very comfortable, and they had really good grip, especially in the snowy areas of the trail.
