Last week Tyrell and I took part in a leg of the Ford Eco Sport Cross-Canada tour! We got to drive from Sudbury to Sault Ste. Marie, which was really cool because neither one of us had been out there prior to this trip! We started our tour by checking out the giant nickel in Sudbury. After that we stopped by P&M’s Kouzzina for a delicious dinner! The next day we began our trip to Sault Ste. Marie. It was a beautiful drive, with lots of gorgeous scenery to take in. We stopped at a few places along the way to take some photos and enjoy the views. When we arrived in Sault Ste. Marie, we had dinner at the Quattro Vinotecca before heading out to do some more sightseeing. That evening we headed down by docks on St. Mary’s River to check out the boats, and take in all the beautiful views! The next day we decided to check out Ernie’s Coffee Shop for breakfast, the food was great, and there’s just something so charming about old diners! After that we wanted to see more of what Sault Set Marie had to offer, so we drove down to the Gros Cap Bluffs to do a little exploring. We were not disappointed, it’s such a beautiful area with really stunning views! After that we had a little time to get some food before our flight. We stopped at Uncle Gino’s Cafe for a panzerotti that was literally the size of my head, and so delicious!
As for the actual driving part of the trip, I have to say that the Ecosport was a really fun vehicle to drive! One of my favourite features was the 8-inch colour LCD touchscreen. It has a full navigation system, with swipe and pinch to-zoom functions, as well as Apple CarPlay, that offers enhanced voice-recognition capability! I also really liked the advanced safety features in the vehicle, including the BLS (Blind Spot Information System) That helps sense traffic around you! The Ecosport also has great fuel economy, as well as Auto Start-Stop technology that helps reduce fuel consumption and emissions. It automatically shuts off the engine when it’s not needed saving you fuel! Needless to say it’s a great vehicle for a road trip! Check out the Ford website for more information on the Ecosport.
